Command (Primary Manifest)
The Command department is ultimately responsible for the ship and its crew, and those within the department are responsible for commanding the vessel and representing the interests of Starfleet.
Commanding Officer Ultimately responsible for the ship and crew, the Commanding Officer is the most senior officer aboard a vessel. S/he is responsible for carrying out the orders of Starfleet, and for representing both Starfleet and the Federation.
This Postion in Unicorn is filled by a United Earth MACO officer ONLYExecutive Officer The liaison between captain and crew, the Executive Officer acts as the disciplinarian, personnel manager, advisor to the captain, and much more. S/he is also one of only two officers, along with the Chief Medical Officer, that can remove a Commanding Officer from duty.
This Position on Unicorn must be filled by a member of the UNITED EARTH STARFLEET ONLY.Officer of the Watch An Officer of the Watch is the head duty officer (officer of the day) on a ship, entrusted by the commanding officer and executive officer (on a naval ship) or the shipmaster (on a merchant ship) with exercising in their absence command and control of the ship on their behalf for the duration of a watch. Command Intelligence Officer The Command Intelligence Officer mans the accompanying bridge station and is responsible for analyzing and reporting on sensitive information and for analyzing available data. This position requires an officer with a high security clearance. Can also be held by a MACO Officer Chief of the Boat The senior-most Chief Petty Officer (including Senior and Master Chiefs), regardless of rating, is designated by the Commanding Officer as the Chief of the Boat (for vessels) or Command Chief (for starbases). In addition to his or her departmental responsibilities, the COB/CC performs the following duties: serves as a liaison between the Commanding Officer (or Executive Officer) and the enlisted crewmen; ensures enlisted crews understand Command policies; advises the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer regarding enlisted morale, and evaluates the quality of noncommissioned officer leadership, management, and supervisory training.
The COB/CC works with the other department heads, Chiefs, supervisors, and crewmen to insure discipline is equitably maintained, and the welfare, morale, and health needs of the enlisted personnel are met. Helm (Primary Manifest)
Responsible for the navigation and flight control of a vessel and its auxiliary craft, the Helm division includes pilots trained in both starship and auxiliary craft piloting.
Chief Helm Officer A Helm Officer must always be present on the bridge of a starship. S/he plots courses, supervises the computers piloting, corrects any flight deviations and pilots the ship manually when needed. The Chief Helm Officer is the senior most Helm Officer aboard, serving as a Senior Officer, and chief of the personnel under him/her. Chief Navigator A Navigator must always be present on the bridge of a starship. S/he is responsible for pointing the ship in the right direction and handling all navigation matters while the helmsman pilots the ship. The Chief Navigator is the senior most Navigation officer abaord, serving as a senior officer, and chief of the personnel under him/her. Navigation controls photon torpedoes during combat operations. Helm Officer Helm incorporates two job, Navigation and flight control. A Helm Officer must always be present on the bridge of a starship, and every vessel has a number of Helm Officers to allow shift rotations. S/he plots courses, supervises the computers piloting, corrects any flight deviations and pilots the ship manually when needed. Helm Officers report to the Chief Helm Officer. Shuttlepod/Dropship Pilot All small spacecrafts aboard a starship, starbase or a facility (Shuttles, Runabouts, Transports, Captain's yacht, Patrol Vessels etc.) but excluding fighters are flown by Support Craft Pilots. This is often the proving ground for pilots until they earn a berth on a starship as a Flight Control Officer. -
Armory (Primary Manifest)
Merging the responsibilities of ship to ship and personnel combat into a single department, the armory division is responsible for the tactical readiness of the vessel and the security of the ship.
Chief Armory Officer Her/his duty is to ensure the safety of ship and crew. Some take it as their personal duty to protect the Commanding Officer/Executive Officer on away teams. She/he is also responsible for people under arrest and the safety of guests, liked or not. S/he also is a department head and a member of the senior staff, responsible for all the crew members in her/his department and duty rosters. Armory Officer There are several Armory Officers aboard each vessel. They are assigned to their duties by the Armory Chief and handle physical ordenance and small arms. They report to the Chief Armory Officer Master-at-Arms The Master-at-Arms or MAs, provide commands with force protection and antiterrorism specialists who perform base defense, law enforcement, and physical security duties. MAs enforce appropriate orders and regulations, make apprehensions, conduct investigations, and prepare required records and reports. The Master-at-Arms reports to the Chief Armory Officer. -
Engineering (Primary Manifest)
The engineering division has the enormous task of keeping the ship working; they are responsible for making repairs, fixing problems, and making sure that the ship is ready for anything.
Chief Engineer The Chief Engineer is responsible for the condition of all systems and equipment on board a Starfleet ship or facility. S/he oversees maintenance, repairs and upgrades of all equipment. S/he is also responsible for the many repairs teams during crisis situations.
The Chief Engineer is not only the department head but also a senior officer, responsible for all the crew members in her/his department and maintenance of the duty rosters.Assistant Chief Engineer The Assistant Chief Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in the daily work; in issues regarding mechanical, administrative matters and co-ordinating repairs with other departments.
If so required, the Assistant Chief Engineer must be able to take over as Chief Engineer, and thus must be versed in current information regarding the ship or facility.Engineer There are several non-specialized engineers aboard of each vessel. They are assigned to their duties by the Chief Engineer and his Assistant, performing a number of different tasks as required, i.e. general maintenance and repair. Generally, engineers as assigned to more specialized engineering person to assist in there work is so requested by the specialized engineer. Damage Control Specialist The Damage Control Specialist is a specialized Engineer. The Damage Control Specialist controls all damage control aboard the ship when it gets damaged in battle. S/he oversees all damage repair aboard the ship, and coordinates repair teams on the smaller jobs so the Chief Engineer can worry about other matters.
A small team is assigned to the Damage Control Specialist which is made up from NCO personnel assigned by the Assistant and Chief Engineer. The Damage Control Specialist reports to the Assistant and Chief Engineer.Computer Systems Specialist The Computer Systems Specialist is a specialized Engineer. The new generation of Computer systems are highly developed. This system needs much maintenance and the Computer Systems Specialist was introduced to relieve the Science Officer, whose duty this was in the very early days.
A small team is assigned to the Computer Systems Specialist, which is made up from NCO personnel assigned by the Assistant and Chief Engineer. The Computer Systems Specialist reports to the Assistant and Chief Engineer. -
Strategic Intelligence (Primary Manifest)
The Strategic Intelligence department acts as an advisory to the command staff, as well as a resource of knowledge and information concerning hostile races in the operational zone of the ship, as well as combat strategies and other such things. Strategic Intelligence is also responsible for gathering and providing intelligence as it becomes possible during a mission; during covert missions, the intelligence department also takes a more active role, providing the necessary classified and other information.
Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer The Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer is responsible for coordinating all Starfleet, MACO and allied assets in within their designated area of space, as well as intelligence gathering. Assistant Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer The Assistant Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer is the second ranked officer in the Strategic Intelligence department. He or she answers to the Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer. He or she is responsible for coordinating Starfleet, MACO and allied assets within a designated area of space, as well as tactical analysis and intelligence gathering. Strategic Intelligence Officer The Strategic Intelligence Officer is part of the Strategic Operations department. He or she answers to the Chief Strategic Intelligence Officer. He or she is responsible for coordinating Starfleet and allied assets within a designated area of space, as well as tactical analysis and intelligence gathering. -
Science (Primary Manifest)
From sensor readings to figuring out a way to enter the strange spacial anomaly, the science division is responsible for recording data, testing new ideas out, and making discoveries.
Chief Science Officer The Chief Science Officer is responsible for all the scientific data the ship/facility collects, and the distribution of such data to specific section within the department for analysis. S/he is also responsible with providing the ship's captain with scientific information needed for command decisions.
S/he also is a department head and a member of the Senior Staff and responsible for all the crew members in her/his department and duty rosters.Assistant Chief Science Officer he Assistant Chief Science Officer assists Chief Science Officer in all areas, such as administration, and analysis of scientific data. The Assistant often take part in specific analysis of important data along with the Chief Science Officer, however spends most time overseeing current project and their section heads. Science Officer There are several general Science Officers aboard each vessel. They are assigned to their duties by the Chief Science Officer and his Assistant. Assignments include work for the Specialized Section heads, as well as duties for work being carried out by the Chief. -
Medical (Primary Manifest)
The medical division is responsible for the mental and physical health of the crew, from running annual physicals to combatting a strange plague that is afflicting the crew to helping a crew member deal with the loss of a loved one.
Chief Medical Officer The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the physical health of the entire crew, but does more than patch up injured crew members. His/her function is to ensure that they do not get sick or injured to begin with, and to this end monitors their health and conditioning with regular check ups. If necessary, the Chief Medical Officer can remove anyone from duty, even a Commanding Officer. Besides this s/he is available to provide medical advice to any individual who requests it. Ship Psychiatrist Because of their training in psychology, technically the ship's/facility's Counselor is considered part of Starfleet Medical. The Counselor is responsible both for advising the Commanding Officer in dealing with other people and races, and in helping crew members with personal, psychological, and emotional problems.
The Counselor reports to the Chief Medical Officer.Medical Officer Medical Officer undertake the majority of the work aboard the ship/facility, examining the crew, and administering medical care under the instruction of the Chief Medical Officer. Surgeon Doctors still specialize and while simple surgery is part of their training, some doctors on larger vessels and starbases prefer to have a surgeon on staff. In the Earth Romulan War, Starships on the front begin adding surgeons onto medical staffs for triage surgery (or meatball surgery) to aid in combat operations and the stablization of wounded soldiers Head Nurse The Head Nurse oversees all the Nurses currently aboard, ensuring they are assigned to tasks and working as required in their area. Additionally the Head nurse performs the normal duties of the nurse, assisting the Duty Medical Officer in sickbay. Nurse Nurses are trained in basic medical care, and are capable of dealing with less serious medical cases. In more serious matters the nurse assist the medical officer in the examination and administration of medical care, be this injecting required drugs, or simply assuring the injured party that they will be ok. The Nurses also maintain the medical wards, overseeing the patients and ensuring they are receiving medication and care as instructed by the Medical Officer. Corpsman Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities. -
Communications & Intelligence (Primary Manifest)
The Communications department is responsible for the operation of the Starfleet's communications systems. On many ships the Communications department is simply amalgamated with Operations; it is often only on Flagships (where a large amount of communications traffic can be received in a very short space of time) and Starbases (where there is an extremely large amount of communications traffic at almost all times).
Chief of Communications & Intelligence Responsible for maintaining and upgrading the universal translator, controls the intercom and responsible for coordinating communications with other ships, stations or colonies/planets. Communications Officer The Communications officer is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing transmissions. MACO Special Operations Detachment - Alpha (Primary Manifest)
The Elite of the United Earth Military Assault Command Operations, MACO SOCOM is divided into 4 Special Operations Detachments that are attached to important units.
Special Operations Detachment-Alpha is Unicorn's fist. First into the fight, last ones out.
The MACOs assigned to SOD-A are handpicked from the best of the MACO by Colonel McEntyre.
MACO Commanding Officer The MACO Commanding Officer is responsible for all the MACO personnel assigned to the ship/facility. S/he is in required to take command of any special ground operations and lease such actions with security. The MACOs could be called the 23rd century commandos.
The CO can range from a Second Lieutenant on a small ship to a Lieutenant Colonel on a large facility or colony. Charged with the training, condition and tactical leadership of the MACO compliment, they are a member of the senior staff.
Answers to the Commanding Officer of the ship/facility.MACO Executive Officer The Executive Officer of the MACOs, works like any Asst. Department head, removing some of the work load from the MACO CO and if the need arises taking on the role of MACO CO. S/he oversees the regular duties of the MACOs, from regular drills to equipment training, assignment and supply request to the ship/facilities Materials Officer.

As a Military Working Dog Handler, you'll work with K-9 units and be responsible for training and caring for dogs, both on ship and on the ground, supporting missions and shipboard law enforcement. Military Working Dogs search for stealthed enemy combatants or explosives and work with their human counterparts to neutralize threats in law enforcement operations.MACO Officer Serving as a officer, the MACO Officer is trained in a variety of means of combat, from melee to ranged projectile to sniping, and is generally a commissioned officer having graduated from West Point. MACO Raider - Critical Skills Operator Critical Skills Operators (CSO) are MACOs trained to execute missions in the Special Operations Core Tasks of Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Direct Action (DA), Special Reconnaissance (SR) and Counter-Terrorism (CT), the Secondary Core Task of Information Operations (IO) and tasks in Support of Unconventional Warfare (UW) as part of the MACOs component to United Earth SOCOM. First Sergeant The First Sergeant is the highest ranked Enlisted MACO. S/He is in charge of all of the MACO enlisted affairs in the detachment. They assist the Company or Detachment Commander as their Executive Officer would. They act as a bridge, closing the gap between the NCO\'s and the Officers.

He bases his actions on his assigned mission and intent and concept of his higher commanders. Conducts troop leading procedures. Maneuvers squads and fighting elements. Platoon Sergeant Ensures the platoon is prepared to accomplish its mission, which includes supervising precombat checks and inspections. Updates platoon leader on appropriate reports and forwards reports needed by higher headquarters. Prepares to assume the role and responsibilities of the platoon leader. Field Medic The role of a medic aboard a starship within the Military Assault Command Organization (MACO) is of utmost importance in ensuring the well-being and health of all crew members and MACOs. As a skilled medical professional, the medic is responsible for providing immediate and comprehensive medical care in both emergency situations and routine medical needs. They must be well-versed in various medical disciplines, including triage, trauma care, surgery, and diagnostics, equipped to handle a wide range of injuries and illnesses that may arise during deployments or missions. Additionally, the medic plays a crucial role in supporting the MACO's combat readiness, assisting with combat injuries and ensuring MACOs are fit for duty. Miltary Dog Handler As a Military Working Dog Handler, you'll work with K-9 units and be responsible for training and caring for dogs, both on ship and on the ground, supporting missions and shipboard law enforcement. Combat Engineer Combat Engineers conduct engineer reconnaissance; emplace obstacle systems; conduct breaching operations, to include reducing explosive hazards; conduct mine/countermine operations; employ demolitions and military explosives; conduct urban breaching; conduct route clearance; provide assault bridging, tactical bridging and non-standard bridging/repair; construct and maintain combat roads and trails; construct expedient roads and airfield/ landing zones; design and construct survivability positions; perform expedient vertical and horizontal construction; design, construct and maintain base camps/forward operating bases and combat outposts; and fight as provisional infantry. -

Civilians (Primary Manifest)
Civilians play an important role in Starfleet. Many civilian specialists across a number of fields work on occasion with Starfleet personnel as a Mission Specialist. In other cases, extra ship and station duties, such as running the ship's lounge, are outsourced to a civilian contract.
