General Overview		A MACO joining in 2134, John McEntyre's family has always served in one form or another, having seen combat in most major conflicts going back to the founding of the State of Texas. He was accepted into West Point in 2134, training for almost 6 years in combat operations, tactical strategy and leadership, holding a degree in Defense & Strategic Studies. He has served with honor for 20 Years, seeing the Miltary Assault Command Operations Corps grow to be the most elite service of the United Earth. John takes his job seriously but has found a balance between being a professional at all times to allowing himself to let loose.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Peak Physical Fitness - John has trained his body to be in top physical strength and form. Combat Training - In addition to standard combat and weapons training, John has been trained in the use and operation of Designated Marksman Weaponry as a Scout-Sniper and Critical Skills Operator. Book Smarts - Far from the "Jarhead" that is normally associated with someone like John, he holds a Masters Degree in Defense & Strategic Studies. In addition to a wonderlust for literature which he enjoys in his downtime.

Personal History		John McEntrye was born in Dallas on 18 May, 2113 to Charles and Emily McEntyre, the middle child from a military family with deep roots in national service which Charles sought to instill in his sons from an early age. Growing up under the weight of legacy, John was taught proper disipline, weapons handling, and self-reliance, skills useful for a future soldier of the United Earth. Charles was a stern taskmaster in this regards, pushing his middle born to go harder, longer and faster in everything he did, to be better than his siblings, to which Charles always had in compitition to see who would be the best. John suffered, much of which he is still working through as a MACO officer. Still, John pushed through, to prove to the world he could. This effort in his studies, exercise and life, paid out when he was accepted on a full scholorship to West Point, being inducted into one of the first Officer classes of the newly established Military Assault Command Operations Corps. His Brother, Josiah, was also inducted with him. He thrived, much like he did in childhood, excelling in his studies, finding he enjoyed the structure. Upon his senior graduation from West Point, he asked to remain to continue his studies for a masters in Defense and Strategic Operations, finding that he didn't want to leave academia until he felt that he was at the peak of what he could achieve in his academic career. He graduates in the top percentile of his class and was commissioned a First Lieutenant of the MACOs. He deployed for further training in Zero Gravity and Critical Skills Operator Training as a Scout-Sniper, qualifying as an expert in the operation of the EM-44 Pulsed Plasma Rifle. Spending the next Fifteen Years in training posts and instructor postings until 2148 where he undertook a three year billet on the S.S. Intrepid in MACOs Special Operations missions across the breath of United Earth space during the Janus Wars. He was asked in 2153 to become a tactical instructor at West Point, which he eagerly accepted. He found the assignment to be some of the most rewarding years of his career until early 2156 when he as Commanding Officer of Coalition Starbase One. He was one of the first MACO casulties of the war, when he was killed on the steps of Berengeria's Capital complex in the mid-afternoon of May 18th, having just turned 43. He was awarded the Distinguished Cross for his actions.
